When a card is worth it
For a $200 gift, the fee is more than a typical 2% card earns, so pay Daffy (donor-advised fund) from your bank account. A card only makes sense here if it is the cheapest way to finish a sign-up bonus; the calculator checks that against your other bills.
Watch out for
Card funding costs 2.9% after the first $1,000 and the money goes to your fund, not straight to the church; grants then go out by Daffy.
