When a card is worth it

With no card fee published, a card that earns 2% turns a $2,000 mortgage payment into about $480 a year. Pay the card in full each month, and confirm the fee at checkout.

Watch out for

Card payments run through Selene's online payment service behind the borrower portal login, and any fee is shown only at checkout. The public how-to-pay page lists only mail and MoneyGram, which charges its own fee.
