Rewards minus fees, twelve payments a year. A negative number means a card costs you money.
When a card is worth it
With no card fee published, a card that earns 2% turns a $120 phone or internet bill into about $29 a year. Pay the card in full each month, and confirm the fee at checkout.
Watch out for
The AutoPay discount requires a linked bank account, the T-Mobile Visa or a debit card. Other credit cards and Apple or Google Pay do not qualify. Paying early with an ineligible method before AutoPay runs removes the discount from your next bill.
